This year Moore Catholic High School will
receive its first class of High Ability Learners in the
Presentation Honors Academy. Students in the program will learn
at an accelerated pace in order to give them the appropriate
challenge for their abilities.
The teachers in the program have received
specialized training in gifted education. A new curriculum
designed has been created based on each teacher’s expertise. The
main objective of the design is to integrate each curriculum
area in order to give the students holistic educational
experience. The teaching methodology will rely on the ability of
the students to work together to research and to solve problems,
based on what they are learning during traditional instructional
periods. Students will also be involved in all regular
extracurricular activities and have the ability to continue to
grow socially, and culturally, which is part of the philosophy
of the program. |
